About the event
From mindfulness to open presence, we will explore the essence of the sending of the Holy Spirit and its part in the sovereign purpose of God. We will meditate on the meaning and power of Pentecost. We will come to know the Holy Spirit in greater richness and depth theologically and spiritually.
The sending of Christ's Spirit to indwell every faith-regenerated believer enables our contemplative prayer of utter abandon and trust in God, in and through Christ whose present ministry as our intercessor, mediator, and substitute continues to save and transform us. Our heart posture is one of "Amen" to the "intercession of Son and Spirit, as the Son holds the believer before God as their great high priest and as the Spirit cries out with groanings too deep for words" (Strobel, 2019). We receive Spirit's anointing to enact Christ's saving ministry and transformative work on earth.
