About the event
Every Sunday, we at Awarezen will gather online as a gospel-shaped contemplative community to worship the Lord in song, read and meditate on His Word, and partake of the Lord's Supper together. In prayerful silence and stillness, we will sit in the presence of Christ who indwells us and pervades all of time and space. We will pray over one another and conclude with a benediction to all in the name of the Lord.
At Awarezen, our vision is firmly fixed on the beauty and loveliness of Jesus Christ in His incarnation and perfect finished work on the cross. Our theological and spiritual foundations are Reformed and biblical but hospitable to ecumenical explorations. We are open to plurality in common grace and the unconfined work of the Holy Spirit across cultures, and hold a constructive theology that is hospitable in a multivocal world. Thus, Awarezen's contemplative gospel community can be described as "Reformed charismatic with deep biblicality and ecumenical interspirituality."
