Meditation is not what we do but who we are. Striving hard in meditation ironically takes us further away from who we are, into an imagined reality that we are not.
For the movement of meditation is in returning and resting—returning to our home of awareness and resting in that open, luminous, empty, blissful, loving, and unconfined immensity where life simply is. This life is but a miraculous unfolding of grace in us, through us, and all around us.
